Ruth's retirement do tonight, 17th July, at the Leeds Regional Centre.
Ruth departs on Friday to the Danube University in Austria. She says that she will be working there for '2 weeks at a summer school to support women researchers in SET, an exciting, innovative project and a nice way to end my OU career.'
Ruth we all wish you the very best, from August 2007, when you take leave of the OU.

I felt to be the odd one out as one of the few people there tonight who wasn't appointed by Ruth but it was still good to say goodbye and wish Ruth all the best with her new adventure. It was also good to meet up again with Ley Robinson who was the person who gave me my first appointment with OU. A lot has happened in both our lives and careers since then and it was great to meet again and catch up. Also good to meet up with a lot of other old friends.
So good luck in the future Ruth and we look forward to hearing what you are up to. Perhaps you will start your own blog.
